Inquisitive Realme Note 50 Global Launch Date Confirmed

The Realme Note 50 is scheduled to debut in the Philippines on January 23. Realme has announced the release date of the new smartphone via X. Additionally, the business has posted several posters on the microblogging site that disclose the features, pricing, and design of the smartphone. The device is also listed on the website of a retailer. There are hints that the Realme Note 50 will have a 6.7-inch HD+ screen with IP54 dust and splash resistance and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It appears that the Realme Note 50 is just the Realme C51 under a different name.

Realme Note 50 Will Debut as an Entry Level Smartphone

With the tagline “Long Lasting Value Companion,” Realme teases the release of the upcoming Note series smartphone, implying something about the device’s affordability and battery life. The Realme Note 50 will make its worldwide debut in the Philippines on January 23, according to Realme Philippines.The stream of the launch event will begin at 12 PM PST, or 9:30 AM IST.

Realme teases that blue and black colour options for the smartphone will be available. On the left side of the gadget is where the SIM card tray is located.The upcoming smartphone will have three circular rings on the back, possibly housing an LED flash and two rear cameras. The dual-tone colour scheme on the back panel is also confirmed by the teaser video.

The CEO and founder of Realme, Sky Li, confirmed in a different note that the upcoming Note series will target entry-level users.According to the note, the company didn’t introduce any flagship or entry-level smartphones priced at $100 (roughly Rs 8,400). According to Sky Li, the upcoming smartphone could be priced under $100 to compete with other entry-level models.The brand’s founder goes on to say that entry-level smartphones will help them ship more devices, which will raise quality control standards.

Realme Note 50 Expected Specifications and Features

It is anticipated that the next Realme Note 50 smartphone will have a 6.7-inch HD+ display with HD+ resolution. The selfie camera will be housed in a waterdrop-style notch on the IPS panel, which will have a refresh rate of 90Hz. Recently, the device’s live images appeared on X (formerly Twitter), indicating that the upcoming smartphone will have a USB Type C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device’s compatibility with the Unisoc T612 SoC is further verified by the GeekBench listing.

The Realme Note 50 is powered by the Android 13-based Realme UI T Edition, according to the listing. The handset’s display has a peak brightness of 560 nits and a touch sampling rate of 180 Hz. It is powered by an onboard Unisoc T612 chip that has 64GB of built-in storage and 4GB of RAM. The listing proposes a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary camera and a secondary sensor for optics. There is a 5-megapixel camera on the front for taking selfies and making video calls.

The Realme Note 50 is listed as having a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W fast charging. At 167.7 x 76.67 x 7.99 mm, it weighs 186 grammes. A redesigned Realme C51 could make its debut as the Realme Note 50.

Realme Note 50: Is It a Rebrand?

By all accounts, the Realme Note 50 doesn’t seem like a particularly exciting smartphone. Similar smartphones from the brand have been seen in the past. As you can see, both the Realme Note 50’s appearance and specifications are strikingly similar to those of the Realme C51.

Under the hood, the Realme Note 50 and Realme C51 share the same panel and Chipset. Their battery capacities are the same. In contrast, the Realme Note 50 receives a few hardware shortcomings, such as a 13MP sensor in place of the C51’s 50MP sensor. Additionally, the Note 50’s charging speed has decreased from 33W in the Realme C51 to 10W.
