At Techxime (https://techxime.com), the privacy of our visitors is one of our main priorities. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, which third parties (including Google AdSense and affiliate partners) may collect information, and the choices and rights you have. If you have any questions, email us at mail@admarq.in.
1. Who We Are
Techxime (“Techxime”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is an independent online publication covering technology news, gadgets, AI tools, automobiles, finance and general-interest topics. This policy applies to all information collected through techxime.com and any related pages. It does not apply to information collected offline or through other websites that we link to.
2. Consent
By using our website, you consent to this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms. Where the law requires it (for example, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland), we ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information you give us
- Contact information – your name, email address and the content of your message when you email us or use a contact form.
- Comments – the name, email address, website and comment text you submit when you leave a comment on an article. Comments may be checked by an automated spam-detection service.
- Newsletter or subscription data – if we offer a newsletter in future, the email address you subscribe with.
3.2 Information collected automatically
- Log files – like most websites, our server records standard log data such as your IP address, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages and the number of clicks. This information is not linked to anything personally identifiable and is used to analyse trends, administer the site, track movement around the site and gather demographic information.
- Device and usage data – pages viewed, time spent on pages, device type, operating system, screen size and approximate location (country/city) derived from your IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies – small files stored on your device. See section 5 and our Cookie Policy for details.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate and maintain our website.
- To improve, personalise and expand our content.
- To understand and analyse how you use our website.
- To reply to your messages, corrections requests and feedback.
- To display advertising, including personalised advertising where you have consented.
- To measure affiliate referrals so we can earn commissions that keep the site free.
- To detect and prevent spam, fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
5. Cookies and Web Beacons
Techxime uses cookies to store information such as visitors’ preferences and the pages they accessed or visited. This information is used to optimise the user experience by customising our content based on browser type and other information. You can learn more in our Cookie Policy.
6. Google AdSense and the DoubleClick DART Cookie
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google is a third-party vendor on our site.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick / DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices or www.youronlinechoices.eu (for EU users).
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- If you do not opt out, Google and its partners may show you personalised ads. If you opt out, you may still see ads, but they will be less relevant (non-personalised ads).
For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, we use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) to request consent before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used, as required by Google’s EU User Consent Policy.
7. Advertising Partners’ Privacy Policies
Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies such as cookies, JavaScript or web beacons in their advertisements and links that appear on Techxime, which are sent directly to users’ browsers. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and/or personalise the advertising content you see. Techxime has no access to or control over these cookies. Please consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers for more information about their practices and how to opt out.
8. Affiliate Links
Some articles contain affiliate links (for example to Amazon, Flipkart or other online stores and software providers). If you click an affiliate link, the merchant or affiliate network may place a cookie on your device to record that the visit came from Techxime, so that we can earn a commission if you make a purchase. We do not receive your payment details or order information that identifies you. Please read our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.
9. Analytics
We use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time on site and approximate location using cookies. You can prevent Google Analytics from using your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Read more in Google’s Privacy Policy.
10. Other Third-Party Services
- Hosting and caching – our web host and caching tools (such as LiteSpeed Cache) process technical data needed to deliver pages quickly and securely.
- Embedded content – articles may include embedded videos, tweets or images from other websites (such as YouTube, X/Twitter or Instagram). Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited the other website, and those websites may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction.
- Gravatar – if you comment, an anonymised string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to show your profile picture.
11. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Emails and contact messages are kept for as long as needed to respond and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless the law requires longer.
- Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically.
- Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics retention setting (up to 14 months).
12. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share information with service providers who help us run the website (hosting, analytics, advertising, anti-spam), when required by law or to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger or transfer of the website, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
13. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure of your data; restrict or object to processing; request data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. Our legal bases for processing are your consent, our legitimate interests in running and improving the website, and compliance with legal obligations. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
14. Your Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA – California)
California residents have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data we have collected, to request deletion of personal data, to correct inaccurate personal data, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising. Techxime does not sell personal data. To exercise your rights, email mail@admarq.in. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
15. Your Rights Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
If you are in India, you may request a summary of the personal data we process, ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it, withdraw consent, and nominate another person to exercise your rights. For grievances, contact our Grievance Officer at mail@admarq.in; we will respond within the time required by law.
16. Children’s Information
Protecting children online is important to us. Techxime is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 18 where Indian law applies). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has provided such information on our website, please contact us immediately at mail@admarq.in and we will promptly remove it.
17. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including HTTPS encryption, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
18. Links to Other Websites
Our articles contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every site you visit.
